The members of Higher Ground are...

Ransom Briggs

guitar and vocals
At an early age, Ransom was exposed to rhythm while his nine-month pregnant mother played drums in his father’s Jacksonville-based rock-n-roll band – The Bonnie Gringo Band. Tim Briggs, Ransom’s Father, went on to play with the legendary country group ALABAMA for 10 years. The Briggs Family are 2nd generation musicians, so their experience began at an early age. Opening for big name bands such as Lori Morgan, the Dixie Chicks, Collin Ray, and Alabama was a huge learning experience for the Briggs Band. Career highlights include Nashville, TN’s largest annual music event, FanFair, as well as recording in the studio with Bass Player, Teddy Gentry of Alabama. Ransom and his brother went on to form a band in Jacksonville and Daytona Beach called Hit-N-Run, which later opened for bands such as Bad Company, Cheap Trick, Eddie Money, Starship, Blackfoot, and Atlanta Rhythm Section…to name a few! Now living in Oregon and joining the band HigherGround, he has set out on a new adventure to keep the show alive!

Clint Wolford

drums and vocals
Clint Wolford has been singing since he was old enough to remember and started playing the drums in the second grade. He has been lucky to play music in a variety of settings such as live theater, jazz band in high school and college, studio work, and of course a lot of bar gigging and outdoor concerts! Clint enjoys music of all genres and creating it has been a huge part of his life. Along with singing and playing drums, Clint also plays guitar and piano. Some of Clint’s favorite bands include Foo Fighters, The Eagles, Weather Report and Journey.

Paul Radabaugh

bass and vocals
Rock has been Paul's bones and blood since the first Creedence, Stones, Steppenwolf, and Beatles records he commandeered from his older brothers as a child. Through the punk and metal scenes in 80's LA he worked at couple of indie labels, ran sound at some Hollywood venues, and toured USA and Canada with his own bands. Then he worked many venues in Seattle during and after the grunge heyday, mixing and/or jamming with many of the popular bands. He's toured at least 40 states, 6 provinces, and a dozen countries. Now he's joining his driving bass-thunder, groove, to HIGHER GROUND; taking it all back home and forever true to the rock.

Matt Treder

Keyboardist Matt Treder co-produced and played on three Billboard Japan #1 jazz albums with vocalist Halie Loren. He has performed with Satin Love Orchestra, The Essentials, the Deb Cleveland Band, Don Latarski, ToneDawg, the Inspirational Sounds, the University of Oregon Jazz Ensemble, and as an adjunct professor for the UO Gospel Choir. He is on faculty at The Shedd Institute where he facilitates the pathbreaking Unforgettable senior memory-care project.
